CHAGEE is not a bubble tea brand - they do not offer toppings commonly associated with bubble tea. This was a point reiterated by the current GM of CHAGEE Singapore in this article: CHAGEE execs spill the tea on the brand's return to Singapore

Note: Is there a specific request you have here? Likeanechointheforest (talk) 21:15, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
Not done for now: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. The article does not call Chagee a bubble tea brand as it stands, simply noting that its founder worked at a bubble tea shop. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 08:08, 19 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello! Chagee just released its fourth quarter and annual earnings for FY2025, and so I thought I would offer an up-to-date count of the current number of locations for the infobox. According to the 6-K they are as follows:
- Number of locations: 7,453 (2025)[1]

Expanding the History section
Hello! I'm a Chagee employee looking to make improvements to this article. For this request, I'd like to ask for a few updates to the History section. The section is pretty well sourced, but it's missing quite a bit about the company's international expansion and related media coverage. I've put together a History draft that adds more information about this expansion, improves sourcing for a few claims, and reorganizes existing information into APAC expansion and US expansion subsections when appropriate.
Here is the draft:

Founder Zhang Junjie never attended higher education, but worked as a bubble tea store apprentice during his youth. He later gained experience in corporate governance while working at a Shanghai-based startup.[1][2] After witnessing the opening of a Hey Tea store, in 2017 he started Chagee in Kunming.[2] In 2021, Chagee moved its headquarters to Chengdu from Kunming.[3] In 2024, the company adopted a dual-headquarters arrangement, with the general headquarters remaining in Chengdu and the overseas business management office located in Shanghai.[4][5] During the 2024 Summer Olympics, Chagee operated a pop-up store in Paris.[6] Media outlets estimated Chagee's annual revenue to be RMB 500 million in 2022.[7] In 2023 the company opened 2,317 new outlets,[2] reaching RMB 10.8 billion in revenue.[8] In December 2025, there were over 7,000 Chagee stores worldwide, of which 200 were in overseas markets,[9] and the company reported a net revenue of RMB 12.91 billion (US $1,845.7 million) for 2025.[10] APAC expansionIn 2019 the company opened stores in Singapore and Malaysia, its first stores outside of China.[11][12] Chagee first entered the Singapore market under a franchise partnership model, expanding to twelve outlets island-wide by 2021.[13] In early 2024, Chagee withdrew its franchise operations in Singapore as part of a decision to transition to company-owned outlets. It re-opened in Singapore in August 2024 with store locations at Orchard Gateway, Plaza Singapura, and Raffles Place.[12] In May 2025, Chagee opened its first sign language store in Singapore at the National University of Singapore (NUS).[14] As of 2024, Singapore served as Chagee's Southeast Asia headquarters.[13] Chagee opened its first location in Malaysia in the capital of Kuala Lumpur in August 2019[15] under the name BaWangChaJi. Revised request to update the History section
| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. Set |answered=no to reactivate the request if necessary. |
Hello! I'm Hillary—I'm a Chagee employee back on this page to suggest a new, more complete update to the History section. The current version on the page is accurate and decently sourced, but it's missing a lot of information about Chagee's expansion beyond China, Singapore, and South Korea. The proposed History draft below adds information about the company's international expansion and founding, and reorganizes information into APAC expansion and US expansion subsections.
Here is the updated draft:

History
Founder Zhang Junjie was born into poverty in Kunming, Yunnan and became an orphan at age 10.[1] He never attended higher education, and started working as a milk tea store apprentice when he was 17. Within 5 years, Zhang was promoted to the level of regional supervisor and became a franchise partner of the milk tea brand.[2] He later gained experience in corporate governance while working at a Shanghai-based startup.[3] After witnessing the opening of a Hey Tea store, in 2017 he started Chagee in Kunming.[4] In 2021, Chagee moved its headquarters to Chengdu from Kunming.[5] In 2024, the company adopted a dual-headquarters arrangement, with the general headquarters remaining in Chengdu and the overseas business management office located in Shanghai.[6][7] During the 2024 Summer Olympics, Chagee operated a pop-up store in Paris.[8] Media outlets estimated Chagee's annual revenue to be RMB 500 million in 2022.[9] In 2023 the company opened 2,317 new outlets,[4] reaching RMB 10.8 billion in revenue.[10] In December 2025, there were over 7,000 Chagee stores worldwide, of which 200 were in overseas markets,[11] and the company reported a net revenue of RMB 12.91 billion (US $1,845.7 million) for 2025.[12] APAC expansion

- Looks fine to me. I've edited the article as requested, with a couple of adjustments to the sources. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 14:37, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- User:Mx. Granger: Thanks for your help on my request! If you have another minute or two, I just realized my draft had a minor grammatical error in the “APAC expansion” subsection. Might you be able to remove the erroneous the in the last sentence of that subsection (so that it reads: In May 2026, Chagee opened its first three stores in South Korea.)? My sincerest apologies for the oversight. Other than that, the updates look great! Thank you, again, for your help. Hillaryjbrown (talk) 01:33, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- I missed it too. Now fixed. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 04:00, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

Request to remove "bubble tea" template and category from article
Hello! This is Hillary from Chagee again. I noticed an editor recently added a "Bubble tea franchise" template and the "Bubble tea brands" category to the Chagee article.
I feel that these additions are more confusing than helpful, as Chagee is a milk tea brand, and does not sell bubble or boba teas. A majority of sources cited in the article describe Chagee as a "milk tea" brand, and company executives have stated that its stores do not offer boba or other bubble tea toppings.[1]
Would an independent editor be willing to remove the "Bubble tea" template and category from this article? Many thanks! Hillaryjbrown (talk) 18:26, 9 September 2026 (UTC)

For starters, CHAGEE is not a bubble tea brand as they do not offer pearls or toppings to encourage customers to experience the "original tea taste."
