Wikipedia is missing a "Static Newtonian" cosmology
In this list of historical cosmologies, Static Newtonian is listed with this description
Every particle in the universe attracts every other particle. Matter on the large scale is uniformly distributed. Gravitationally balanced but unstable.
I would like to link to the Static Newtonian cosmology as the (or an) outcome of the Copernican Revolution but since there is no Wikipedia article (or even a section!) describing it, I can't. In the absence of any material in any existing Wikipedia article, would linking to Bentley's paradox instead be reasonable?

- I guess I could also link to Olbers' paradox?
Kirsten Jørgensdatter (talk) 19:52, 20 February 2026 (UTC) - If someone wanted to start an article, this

- Publisher: Cambridge University Press
- Print publication year: 2000
- might be a place to start for material.

Done It's not a great article (only 700 words!) but I linked to Static universe.
