Requested move: dSPACE GmbH -> dSPACE
As a marketing employee at dSPACE, I would like to change the title on the English version of the dSPACE website from “dSPACE GmbH” to “dSPACE”. The reason for the change is that dSPACE is no longer called dSPACE GmbH, and we would therefore like to have a neutral title for our company.

DSPACE GmbH → dSPACE (Company) – The current title, "dSPACE GmbH", is outdated because the company is no longer legally organized as a GmbH. Wikipedia article titles should follow WP:COMMONNAME and reflect the name most commonly used in reliable sources. Current sources, including the company’s own publications, refer to the entity simply as "dSPACE".
Because "dSPACE" alone is ambiguous and already used as a redirect, the parenthetical disambiguator "(Company)" follows WP:NCDAB and WP:PRECISION. This results in a neutral, up‑to‑date, and unambiguous title that accurately reflects the subject. ~2026-24035-28 (talk) 09:56, 20 April 2026 (UTC) — Relisting. I would like to disclose that I am employed by dSPACE. Because of this conflict of interest, I am not editing the article directly. I am only requesting the move because the current title no longer reflects the company’s legal form. Other editors should evaluate the request based solely on Wikipedia’s naming policies. ~2026-24035-28 (talk) 09:56, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support DSPACE (company). Use lowercase '(company)' and use {{Display title}} to render the title dSPACE (company) on the page. I looked through the first couple pages of Google News result and could not find a single source that referred to them as anything other than "dSPACE". Many of these sources would probably not be considered reliable sources, but if the 'GmbH' is both inaccurate and not widely used, we should not use it. I will note that my assessment was fairly brief and did raise some questions about notability/WP:SIGCOV, but I did not dig into that issue. As long as we have an article, it should be titled correctly. Hatnotes at DSPACE and DSpace should be updated to include links to this article at whatever title it ends up with. —Myceteae🍄🟫 (talk) 15:35, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- Indeed the qualifier "company" should be in lower case. Crouch, Swale (talk) 21:15, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
