DOW 7/9 'A' replacement, DOW 10/ 'B'
An odd thing to add for DOW 7; it too has technically been retired like DOW 6 as the current 2025 generation uses brand-new base trucks with the redesigned cabs. DOW 'A' is Dow 7s direct replacement with some parts like its radar pedestal being transferred over. (In a symbolic way, its Dow 1, 3 and 7s successor.)
DOW 10 'B' is the newest truck to the fleet that's sporting the 'jet black' coloration with a blue forward cab and white generator. The difference in defining either two is 9/A is all blue, while 10/B is Blue/Black and can technically be referred as Dow 2 and 6s successor.
Why the name choice of using A and B instead of 9 and 10 (as they are literally brand new units following after DOW 8s lineage) is unclear (to me at least) though thoughts are this is likely 'CROW' can be called 'DOW C' in retrospect.
- The name DOW A and B are used because that is the designation used by the Farm Facility in both internal and external documentation, along with markings on the vehicle cabs. The Mini-COW is part of the CROW system, which will still be able to utilize the rapid-scan and single x-pol configuration and is referred to as CROW within those same internal documents. If the CROW is upgraded to the same cab specification as DOWs A and B, I wouldn’t be surprised to see its name changed in official documentation. --Realjospence (talk) 15:14, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
Doppler on wheels 5 phased array that is under construction

Doppler on Wheels → Flexible Array of Radars and Mesonets – The DOW are operated by FARM, in my opinion it would be better to branch it as FARM instead of making a seperate page for FARM, since FARM is mostly about the DOWs and it's probes, it could be more efficient. - Oppose Doppler on Wheels (DOW) is the WP:COMMONNAME, just because it is owned by a company/organization doesn't mean that the page about its main operating vehicles has to be effectively merged. shane (talk to me if you want!) 19:14, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- FARM owns other radars under DOW, such as it's hypothetical idea, BARN, BiPLANET, NETPOD, which could be added, but NETPOD, BARN or BiPLANET have nothing to do with DOW, making an entire seperate page would be useless. Eyeofthescope (talk) 20:29, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- Currently i will be forced to restrict from mentioning BINET or the NETPOD Network due to wikipedia's rule. I will continue remaking the history page Eyeofthescope (talk) 17:35, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

- Oppose: I am in full agreement with shane, Doppler on Wheels title should be kept for WP:COMMONNAME among other reasons. The Doppler on Wheels fleet of vehicles has existed since 1995 and their relevance stems not from their parent organization (whether it be OU, CSWR, or FARM), but from the research conducted by the vehicles, the media coverage the vehicles have received, and the fact the DOWS pioneered the concept of mobile doppler radar for larger bands.
