  • ... that a New Zealand gallery crowd funded to buy an Elizabeth Stevens painting, not for the painting itself but for the message on the back?
    • Reviewed: 1st nomination so not required

  • Reviewing this. Article is long enough (3x the minimum length for DYK) and new enough (nominated 7 days after expansion - exactly on the deadline). All paragraphs and sentences are properly cited to a reliable source (references are either books or newspapers). Hook could be traced back to section 3, 2nd paragraph, of which the citation aligns with the ones in the article. All technicalities aside, I felt this hook's not that concise. May I suggest something more succinct? ALT1: ...that a New Zealand gallery crowdfunded a purchase of a Elizabeth Stevens painting for the sake of a message on its back? (crowdfunded is supposed to be one word) Regards, Jeromi Mikhael 14:02, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
