Reverted change to lead

Hello @Grayfell! Thank you for your feedback on some of my edits. I would like some clarification on your second revert on the lead, re-adding the statement "and became known as one of the few US-based registrars that routinely ignored reports of illegal activity." This was a recent change added on May 12th that I found to be a contentious editorialization of what the source actually states. Considering it was added to the opening statement of the lead, I believed it was too contentious for such placement without proper attribution. Adding the attribution felt out of place here due to weight so I opted to remove the statement entirely to do right by WP:NPOV. Please share your thoughts. I appreceiate your guidance! I will defer to others on this specific detail, but my take, based on past reading and prior discussions on this talk page, is that reliable, independent sources pretty consistently define Epik by its problems, and hosting illegal content is near the top of that list. The changes to the lead which imply that Epik is no longer involved with the far-right or other extremist activity is not supported by the body. Please do not add original research. Absolutely, I respect the work on Wikipedia and do my best to contribute in a positive way. I am still learning however so I'm always happy to revisit changes if I do something wrong. I'll try to be more mindful moving forward. I appreciate your feedback! Have a great rest of your day! TXstockman5 (talk) 16:04, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
