What was the first story driven animated series I can think of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Adventure Time (both 2010) does The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo (1985) count?

I removed RGP Maker as a "form" of machinima, and it has been re-added as an animation technique. I believe the only unique thing about these animations is the game engine, which doesn't warrant mentioning them in a table about firsts in animation techniques.
