At this point it is inevitable that it returns back to it's original name and that the Biden name was short lived. Page needs to be moved/changed. 2607:FEA8:2B80:2800:96A5:8AC9:F252:8CAD (talk) 01:26, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- Yup, the common name was always Bragg but consensus in the previous failed RM seemed to be that we should wait for the DoD to restore that name. Now they have. Jbt89 (talk) 01:31, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- Patriots in control once again brother, can't wait to see the change 2607:FEA8:2B80:2800:96A5:8AC9:F252:8CAD (talk) 01:44, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- Awesome news! It is so gratifying to see the name return home, especially the clever way in which Hegseth/DoD did this. 2605:59C8:2805:9410:48E5:9529:7A59:F987 (talk) 17:49, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- To whoever wrote "Patriots in control once again…": Please keep your political views off this page. In particular, please do not use the word "patriot" to designate one side of a political dispute. We can disagree with each other about what's best for America without questioning the other side's patriotism. MiguelMunoz (talk) 21:20, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

Mention of Cost of Name Change
The cost of the name change from Ft. Bragg to Ft. Liberty is given as $6.3M. No cost is given for the change from Ft. Liberty to Ft. Bragg. There is an estimate given here: https://www.npr.org/2025/02/11/nx-s1-5293246/hegseth-fort-bragg-liberty-name There also seems to be some disagreement on the actual cost. https://apnews.com/article/army-base-renaming-fort-bragg-liberty-dcfe8bd9eeaa8373d2338bf99a4cac69 129.59.122.99 (talk) 00:22, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- I agree. I added a sentence with two references. —MiguelMunoz (talk) 07:37, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
- That's irrelevant partisan politics and a violation of the NPOV rule on this site. In fact, even mentioning its short-lived name as Ft. Liberty is something that belongs in the history section and not in the opening paragraph. Stuff like this is why this site will end up going into the dustbin of history. ~2026-12740-15 (talk) 10:27, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
Seth Harp's Journalism/Notable Events Section
As has been briefly discussed in a past thread (regarding a Rolling Stone article), there has been an ongoing trend of unsolved murders and deaths at Fort Bragg which are potentially tied to drug trafficking. Seth Harp has written a book titled "The Fort Bragg Cartel" which is a reputable source, the contents of which may warrant a larger allotment on this page.
Further, the notable events section seems somewhat unnecessary, it is merely a listing of numerous events that is taking up too large a portion of this article. The events should be broken up and put into different categories, if they fit.
I am interested in what active editors of this article would think of this. Cameron gv (talk) 20:51, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
- Harp is generally a reliable source though not an error-free one; from what I understand and what I've seen of interviews he's done promoting the book, it seems to be a bit fast and loose with its conclusions in ways that make me skeptical of the quality, but that's just my take and until we have reliable sources concurring with that opinion there's no reason to exclude it. The length of the Notable Events section doesn't seem problematic at all, and unless there's a specific size restriction you're referring to that I'm not aware of, I don't see any issues there. The more useful thing would be to convert it from a list format to in-line prose, which would largely address the need for the section in the first place, but the length is not the reason why. ⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 22:07, 2 October 2025 (UTC)

Where is the criticism?
This article doesn't mention a single word about murders, mysterious disappearances, drug trafficking, hidden racism, etc. ~2025-36714-57 (talk) 04:45, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
