– I'm wondering if the Hamilton Tigers article title should go to the former football team rather than the former NHL team. The former football team has a longer history, existing for 75 years from 1873-1949, and still technically exists as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from the 1950 merger with the Hamilton Wildcats. The Hamilton Tigers NHL team operated for 5 years from 1920-1925 before becoming the New York Americans and eventually folding. The NHL is much more prominent today, but with the football Tigers name still in use with Tiger-Cats name, I wonder if the former football team might carry more prominence. Thoughts? I think if anything, your argument suggests there is no WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. In that case, the hockey team should add the "NHL" in parentheses and the Hamilton Tigers page would be the disambiguation page (currently Hamilton Tigers (disambiguation)).
