Hugh Syme, according to the liner notes, also played the electric violin on Rush's "Losing It" from their 1982 "Signals" album. Harry-o Stereo24.10.77.239 (talk) 06:36, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

- It sounds like you may be conflating the violin on "Losing It" to Hugh Syme being credited with the synth introduction on the title track of "2112" Kajagoogoo2112 (talk) 12:49, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

"Controversy and criticism" section
Hello, I spotted a few important issues with this section that I'd like to discuss.
- All alleged controversies are entirely or partially related to the same act (Dream Theater). If the artist's only (supposed) issues are related to only one of the many acts he's worked with, we may be giving undue weight to the perspectives of one very particular and limited portion of people impacted by his work.
- The first sub-section ("Artificial Intelligence allegations and speculation") first uses forum material in an attempt to support that "fans widely speculated" something, and then correctly presents a secondary reference to back that, but apart from that said source merely presents the views of one reviewer, one that admittedly does not specialize in visual arts ("I don’t usually take the time to talk about album art"), fueling the speculation without actually providing any further relevant insight. The section ends with a reflection based on a source that does not even discuss that specific case. Potential WP:OR.
- The second sub-section is attempting to cover a controversy that may not exist at all. Not even the provided source is making that big of a deal about it, and even if it did, one author taking issue with re-use of art is hardly a controversy. Has it been criticized by more relevant reviewers? Have the bands themselves or even Syme ever commented on this? Did anyone reportedly feel like a law, ethic code or legislation has been violated, so that we can safely label it as a controversy?
If no additional sources can be provided to actually show us that he's been indeed in the center of relevant controversies-not isolated instances that raised a few people's eyebrows-then I propose simply removing the sub-sections. Victor Lopes Fala!•C 21:48, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @AErbtz2321, I noticed you undid my edits here and at Distance Over Time, but you did not address the issues here. Could you please state your reasons for keeping the content?
- Victor Lopes Fala!•C 13:38, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- I would remove the Reddit sources as those contain user-generated content, plus WP:RSPREDDIT. HorrorLover555 (talk) 18:19, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
Dane Clark link is wrong
The limk goes to an actor who died in 1998. The musician / band Dane Clark, alive and well, is someone completely different. ~2025-31836-06 (talk) 02:34, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
