Merge proposal
There's a short new page at Hume Society best discussed in context. That would either be at David Hume or here; the former is too long to comfortably have more, so here seems better. The merge is for short text, context, lack of independent notability. Klbrain (talk) 21:47, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Klbrain Pretty nonsensical. The Institute is clearly notable under WP: ORGCRIT. Hosts a Scopus indexed journal with exceptionally high H-index. Sumiono (talk) 21:58, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

- The article Humeanism is about a broad philosophical tradition, so dedicating a full section with several subsections to the Hume Society may violate WP:PROPORTION. Regarding the notability issue, you could try WP:AFD instead, but my impression is that Hume Society fulfills the minimal requirements. Phlsph7 (talk) 10:05, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Phlsph7 It seems this user is not doing their homework before recklessly redirecting articles which were even there in the main space since more than 90 days. @Klbrain You have not answered my serious concerns raised on your talk page still? Have you ever considered NPPSCHOOL? Sumiono (talk) 22:23, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
- I haven't looked at the other proposed redirects and I'm not an expert on the more fine points of redirect policy, but the proposal itself doesn't strike me as "nonsensical". In my impression, the reasons against are stronger, but that doesn't mean that there are no supporting reasons or that the idea is entirely without merit. Phlsph7 (talk) 14:51, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
