I am proposing that the stub list article James Gunn's unrealized projects be merged into the contents of Gunn's main article to consolidate the information of his many unproduced or semi-produced projects that have not in full or in-part eventuated. The existence of such "unrealized projects" lists have been contested in prior discussions for similar subjects at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Cimino's unrealized projects and Talk:Christopher Nolan/Archive 2#Proposed merge of Christopher Nolan's unrealized projects into Christopher Nolan, I am requesting a similar merge for this list in accordance with WP:SALAT (which advises against trivial slop lists) while also noting that verifiability does not guarantee inclusion and that Wikipedia is not a directory or housing space for trivial details. Some of these could fit nicely into James Gunn § Other media, whereas others like the Ravagers, a Drax/Mantis spin-off, a Thunderbolts film, and a The Suicide Squad sequel were never actually in development and were just some trivial ideas he had that went nowhere and are not inherently notable on their own. Warner Bros. asking Gunn to direct a Batman film before choosing to make The Suicide Squad and years before he became co-head of DC Studios is also trivial, ditto for The Authority, especially since both are in development with him involved at least as a producer. Some works like The Belko Experiment and Coyote vs. Acme were still produced with Gunn's involvement, with the latter now set to release in 2026 after initially being shelved, and are already mentioned at this main article.

While arguments in a previous deletion discussion found that the use of articles from /Film, Screen Rant, and MovieWeb discussing some of Gunn's projects as a set meant it passed WP:NLIST, the latter two of those have since been recognized as discouraged sources of questionable reliability, per WP:RS/VALNET, while the former only discusses two of Gunn's unmade horror films. Merge As others have stated these articles could be integrated easily. Kronenn (talk) 17:28, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
Merge As stated by Trailblazer101 they can be integrated easily and some of the things in it are non notable. GothicGolem29 (talk) 00:33, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
Not all of these are actually unrealised projects, some are just pitches or ideas that went nowhere. If this page was tidied up I think it would be a no-brainer for merging. - adamstom97 (talk) 08:21, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
Merge per adamstom's rationale as well as the nom. I see no reason for these lists to be split off, and these can be consolidated pretty easily. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 00:34, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
Merge as the content would be just perfectly fine integrated into Gunn's main article. BarntToust 21:17, 24 August 2025 (UTC)

Can we remove or at least hide man of tomorrow from the filmography section due to the fact it has not begun filming yet. 92.15.144.109 (talk) 16:48, 4 September 2025 (UTC)

Okay so I’m guessing we’re all choosing to ignore the rules about films being in filmography sections before filming starts. 92.15.144.109 (talk) 18:44, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
I have hidden the film from the table. Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 19:07, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
