Early life and education

Nikpour was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1976. He holds a First-Class Art Diploma in Photography awarded by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, a qualification recognized as equivalent to a doctoral-level degree in the Iranian art education system.[1]

Career

Nikpour began his professional photography career in the early 2000s, working primarily in sports and documentary photography. He has covered major international sporting events, including multiple editions of the Olympic Games and Asian Games.

He served as the head of the Iranian photographers’ delegation at several Olympic Games, including Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020.[1]
