as you can click for multiple maps, would it be fitting to add the kingdom's territorial peak in 634 ad or is it too murky of an era to confirm Hiskad (talk) 21:32, 7 January 2026 (UTC)

Claudius Ptolemy
The sentence in Etymology which refers to Ptolemy is contradicted by the Wikipedia article on Claudius Ptolemy which indicates that he lived during the second century. ~2026-20669-1 (talk) 16:45, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
Lede
@TipCake: we spoke about the lede here as to what year the kingdom was founded. I think a note here is a good idea again, I believe you mentioned a reference, perhaps Stephenson p10? Any chance you found the book quote? Because it would be a good idea to show the foundation in full in Infobox, not just circa, considering the information is available. - I'd like to do a rewrite of much of the article, as it follows the far outdated paradigm of Lloyd 100+ years ago at present. I don't really have the time to do so at the moment, I just edit when there are things I can add related to my normal work. I would suggest you look at Wales and the Britons for the date of the foundation of Gwynedd, which likely is named for an Irish group and founded with some connection with the Irish rather than the dreadful fantasy of Cunedda coming down and committing ethnic cleansing. You will find the standard version of the founding in Charles-Edwards' book. The disteiniaid will be in the appendix to Stephenson's Political Power in Medieval Gwynedd.
