Short lead

@JJonahJackalope and LunaEatsTuna: Is there any way the lead of the article can be expanded? It's particularly short for a Good Article, and leaves out a fair amount of interesting and notable details from the body, specifically any information from the Analysis section. Cheers! principally as to the alt 0 hook. Newness requirement satisfied by GA promotion on 28 April -- very nice work! Article is also long enough, well written, neutral and well sourced. An Earwig check doesn't reveal any problems. The alt0 hook is interesting, short enough, and supported by inline citation and page 52 of the dedication booklet. (My only suggestion would be to replace "100,000 people" with "100,000 African Americans" which detail I find more intriguing.) The alt1 hook looks ok, though I'm not able to read page 65 of the referenced article .. and I find it less intriguing (who is Daughery and why is her comparison so interesting?). QPQ completed.
