Dating of Haran Gawaita

The Origins section says "the Haran Gawaita (the Scroll of Great Revelation) which was authored between the 4th–6th centuries...", but the actual article on the Haran Gawaita says "The recipients of the text are stated to be those disciples who must persevere in their faith during the Arab age, meaning that it must post-date the early Muslim conquests at the least. Furthermore, the text makes repeated reference to Baghdad, a city built in 762, and as such is likely to also post-date the 8th century."

I guess these should be harmonized. Neither of the sources cited inline for the sentence containing the 4th-6th century claim suggests a date for the Haran Gawaita (the sources seem to be offered for the second claim about the migrations of the Nasoraean Mandaeans). The appropriate tag is in this case is {{contradictory inline}}, Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source so we can't consider something dubious based on what another article says. Traumnovelle (talk) 05:00, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
