Dispute: one page or two?
User:Omnis Scientia disagrees with me regarding whether there is a need for a second page named List of people with given name Marie. I believe there is not, for the following reasons:
- First, OS's version presents fictional characters first, as if they were more important than actual people.
- Second, there's going to be a very long list, whether it's here or in List of people with given name Marie. The page sizes are 6K and 69K, respectively, so putting it all in one page of 75K isn't going to make a big difference. It will, however, make it more convenient for the reader. - If I may add, I know the list article, in its current state, isn't perfect. I also agree that fictional characters have no place in such list since they aren't actual "notable people" so they can be removed. I believe there is a way to properly organize such a list article so it is more easily navigatable for anyone who is interested. Omnis Scientia (talk) 22:20, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
