I think these entries should be merged, as they appear to refer to the same individual:
Mohammed Odeh (1972/1973), painter and Hamas member[6]
Mohammed Odeh (born ?), Hamas militant[7]
to:
Mohammed Odeh (1972/1973), Hamas militant involved in the Hebrew University bombing.[6][7]
The current split seems to stem from inconsistent sourcing rather than two different individuals. Snackbar.me3 (talk) 09:22, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

@Snackbar.me3 @Day CreatureAre these the same men, according to this source Odeh was in prison from 2002 until a prisoner exchange last year. It also refers to him as 52, which he couldn't be in 2025 if he was born in 1974. Salmon Of Ignorance (talk) 10:37, 27 May 2026 (UTC)- My mistake, I see this change was in the "not to be confused with" section. Salmon Of Ignorance (talk) 10:45, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
Possible assassination 26 May 2026
"Initial intelligence assessments" have, according to Israel, indicated Odeh's death. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/initial-assessments-said-to-indicate-hamass-new-military-chief-successfully-killed-in-strike/
Though this could be false, Wikipedia should be prepared as the IDF successfully indicated Haddad's death earlier. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-31577-37 (talk) 20:54, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
Incorrect date for the main image
It doesn’t make sense that the photo shown on the main page of the article was taken in 2025. As evidence, you can see in the attached article that Mohammed Deif who appears (on the left) alongside him in the photo you uploaded was already killed in 2024. - Good spot. I have removed the caption for the time being until we can determine the correct date of the picture. Salmon Of Ignorance (talk) 10:26, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- I think the problem is the IDF released the image in 2025, but it is undated - it is referred to as undated here. Salmon Of Ignorance (talk) 10:39, 27 May 2026 (UTC)

The picture at the top states it was Mohammed in 2025, however he is next to Mohammed Deif who was assasinated in July 2024, so it was most likely taken in either 2024 or 2023. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zzriley1 (talk • contribs) 08:55, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
Done Changed the caption to "Odeh in an undated photo" per your request and the discussion above. Day Creature (talk) 17:05, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Description of suggested change: Simple typo fixes at the start of the sentence of his Early Life and the start of the first sentence under Leadership. I just want to fix the typos.

Hello,
The roles "Intelligence Chief of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades"[a] and "Hamas Intelligence Chief"[1] appear to refer to the same position and seem redundant in the infobox. Could they be merged?
Thanks.
Edit: The final output should be something like: "Intelligence Chief of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades[1][a]" Snackbar.me3 (talk) 08:57, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
- I am sorry, this is beyond my level of expertise.
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want made. Slomo666 (talk) 14:21, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
- According to the source in Asharq Al-Awsat([1]):
- "وحسب أحد المصادر، فإن عودة الذي كان مديراً للاستخبارات العسكرية في «القسام» عندما شنت «حماس» هجوم 7 أكتوبر كان..."
- Specifically, the phrase "مديراً للاستخبارات العسكرية في «القسام»" translates to "Military Intelligence Chief of the Qassam Brigades."
- The source shows these are the same role, so the two infobox entries are duplicating the same position. Snackbar.me3 (talk) 15:54, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
- I will not be executing this request either way, since I cannot read arabic, but could you please be more specific with what this source is? The volunteer responding to your request should be easily able to find it. Slomo666 (talk) 16:09, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
- It's the source listed right next to the infobox, marked as reference [1].

sorry, what is the "X" doing in the infobox? is that a thing?
it links to the "assassination" article. ~2026-37345-58 (talk) 16:23, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
