Definition
Neglect means to ignore to do for example: if you neglect to turn off the oven when you finish cooking, you will waste energy. and also A few years of neglect and only the skeleton of a garden can be tracedin. Neglect can effect people of all ages. When neglect is present in early stages of life it can lead to physical and emotional development. For example a physical effect would be lack of hygiene and for emotional they can result in having relational problems.[1]

I propose to include some of this, or information from a more updated edition, in the article. APSAC stands for American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children.
