This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because I think the criteria of notability is met.
PhraseApp is one of two viable competitors of Transifex who is listed as a resource for Internationalization and Localization. It has been recognized by local and international media outlets and the developer community. It is a service used by over 10.000 developers and translators and offers free of charge services for the open source community as well as a commercial product. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frederikvo (talk • contribs) 11:27, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
Contested deletion
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because same goes for the authors of the article on Transifex which is simply put a piece of content marketing.
"An organization is generally considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources." These sources and coverage has been stated in a multitude. Please attach notice why the Transifex article is still online and what coverage is sufficient for the editor and how me being myself violates the mentioned rule. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frederikvo (talk • contribs) 11:32, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Please take some time to read the messages on your user talk page, and make the formal disclosure on your user page. After you have done that, you can propose changes to the article on this talk page, without editing the article directly. I have a conflict of interest to disclose. I am an independent freelance editor being paid by Phrase to suggest simplifications and improvements to this article, in accordance with Wikipedia's paid editing disclosure policy.
Requested change (1):
Replace: "Phrase (also known as Phrase Localization Platform) is a software as a service platform designed to automate and streamline translating and localizing digital products, such as web or mobile apps, websites, marketing content, etc. for international markets."
With: "Phrase is a software as a service company that develops translation and localization software. Its platform provides tools, including those using artificial intelligence, to manage content in multiple languages."
Rationale:
This simplifies the language and removes promotional phrasing while retaining the core meaning.
Requested change (2):
Add sources for the following text:
"In January 2021, Phrase was acquired by Memsource. In September 2022, both brands announced a joint identity and formed the Phrase Localization Platform."
Proposed sources:
https://multilingual.com/memsource-buys-phrase/
https://slator.com/memsource-ceo-david-canek-on-the-acquisition-and-integration-of-phrase/
https://slator.com/memsource-sells-to-carlyle-the-inside-story/
Rationale:
These are independent industry publications that support the acquisition and rebranding. Azaidi freelance (talk) 12:25, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
