Groper
On this disambiguation page, the IP network program "ping" is defined as "Packet InterNet Groper" - and this is explicitly listed as incorrect on the ping page itself. So I'm going to remove it :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.99.27.142 (talk) 00:18, 12 September 2004 (UTC)

The following Bands named Ping have been removed from the main disambiguation page due to having no WP page. They are listed here for reference in the event that pages are created in the future.
- Ping (Australian band), a band located in Australia
- Ping (Norwegian band), a band located in Norway
- Ping (US band), a band located in the USA

Magic: The Gathering and elastic bands
Could someone who understands the game sort out the two Magic: The Gathering references (or are they correct? they look odd)
I've cut the definition of Ping as the noise made by an elastic band from the TCP/IP ping page. Feel free to write a page for it if you think it's worth it; I don't, especially as it's covered by the Wiktionary link.

Link to "Wikipedia:Ping"
I think this is a rare case where, in a general article ( in this case: Ping (disambiguation) #Computing / Science and technology / Computing ), a link to an article about Wikipedia itself ( in this case: Wikipedia:Ping ), would be appropriate.
Reason: The use in WP:
- is just another use of the term "ping" AND
- should not be missing in this list.
