The article currently has this text:

Regencies as we know them today were first created in January 28, 1892, when the Dutch East Indies government established the Landarchief. The first landarchivasis was confirmed the next day and lasted until 1905. Officially, Indonesia's current regencies were established with the proclamation of Indonesian independence on August 17, 1945.

The citation given is to the page Sejarah ("History") on the site of the Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia (ANRI, National Archive of the Republic of Indonesia). Now, I admit I'm relying a lot on machine translation here, but I can't see what this has to do with regencies.

I went looking because I wanted to markup the obvious non-English words "landsarchief" and "landsarchivasis", and so first I wanted to check their spelling and identify their language (either Dutch, or Indonesian borrowings from Dutch, I assumed). Sure enough, the latter is misspelled (the cited source has "landsarchivaris"), but it quickly became clear that, no matter how they should be spelled, they're words relating to archives, not rulers: something like lands + archief, not landsar + chief.

Again, I'm relying on machine translation—I don't know either Indonesian or Dutch—and so I might be missing some cultural/historical context that might be relevant. For that reason, I'm going to tag it today rather than immediately deleting it. But can anybody explain how it relates to regencies, if at all? I'm not optimistic.
