I am thinking the retail apocalypse could have started around the year 2008 as an effect of the Great Recession. However, 2010 could be a good date because of the rise of social media around that time and broadband internet connections have become standardized for almost everyone during that time, making e-commerce more mainstream. I think I am leaning towards 2008. Maybe this starting date could be something to look into? 47.12.180.193 (talk) 06:46, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
