Frequently asked questions The article is biased against SEGM. This violates WP:NPOV! Should we completely rewrite it to paint SEGM in a more favorable light?
That is not what NPOV means. - We report what WP:Reliable Sources say about an organization. See here for past discussions on the neutrality of the article
We also had a Request for Comment conclude SEGM is a fringe organization. The core criteria in WP:FRINGE are met, and reliable sources characterize SEGM’s work as pseudoscience and misinformation. WP:NPOV, WP:FRINGE, WP:UNDUE, and WP:RS there for support describing SEGM in such terms and handling the views expressed by SEGM with caution and minimal weight if any. It is important to take a moment and note that this is not a case of Wikipedia editors imposing a label on SEGM; it is a reflection of what reliable sources have called SEGM. The sources are too biased!

Verification concerns
Some of the listed facts about the SEGM-associated persons seem to not reflect the citations, or the cited sources are dubious. Of particular concern is the assertion in this section that claims that Stephen Levine "argues transgender people are pathologically narcissistic". In fact the cited Radio-Canada article is incorrect, as Levine actually said that "transgender individuals commonly become strongly narcissistic", as per [this letter] and [his own words]. This is a different enough in meaning to potentially violate BLP.
A lesser concern is the use of lower quality sources in place of higher ones. The claim that Stella O'Malley founded Genspect links to Science-Based Medicine when her own article has several, more reliable sources that describe this. There's also a heavy reliance on SPLC but that's likely a whole other issue. Nautical Mongoose (talk) 02:34, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- I've changed "are narcissistic" to "become narcissistic", and added the telegraph source used in the lead to the body of the article. LunaHasArrived (talk) 08:26, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Neutral point of view/Noticeboard#RfC on gender exploratory therapy as a form of conversion therapy
There is an ongoing RfC at NPOVN on whether gender exploratory therapy should be described as a form of conversion therapy. Editors interested in the issue are welcome to comment. TarnishedPathtalk 05:41, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
