common skin care mistake

It would be useful to include a section about common skin care mistakes and how to avoid them ~2025-37654-72 (talk) 09:57, 1 December 2025 (UTC)

Uncited Claims Appear to be Endorsement

The article begins with several strong statements in support of the practice of skin care:

"Skin care can help prevent infections and irritation and is an important part of daily hygiene." [citation needed]

"Skin care is an essential part of wound healing, radiation therapy, and the management of some medications." [citation needed] [according to whom?]

"Simple habits like washing and applying lotion can make a big difference in skin health, but little is known scientifically about the benefits and clinical efficacy of these practices." [citation needed] (How do we know that they "make a big difference" if there is no scientific evidence?)

Given that the article goes on to repeatedly note that skin care is rife with false marketing claims, I think it would be wise to either delete these sentences, qualify them, or properly cite them. ~2026-93898-6 (talk) 19:20, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
