Government as its allies ?
With the recent Hadramut offensive, does this mean that we should put the government in the ennemeis section again ? The basque savior (talk) 20:25, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
- nope. The STC is still part of the Presidential Leadership Council 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 07:16, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- But they're also fighting them, bit confusing innit The basque savior (talk) 18:44, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- welcome to the world of post-2022 Yemeni politics 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 18:49, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Abo Yemen:! Can you explain how the STC is still part of the PLC? Didn't the STC just start an offensive against the PLC and the PLC's leadership fled from Aden to Riyadh. STC leaders have since then called out PLC leadership. How does this make the STC still a part of the PLC? Farmandeh Arkhar (talk) 16:46, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- The STC never left the PLC, which is why there hasn't been a response attack from the Yemeni army yet. They're more in the grey area tbh since they haven't concluded their alliance 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 18:59, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- The PLC administration gave a response statement, accusing the STC of instigating a rebellion as per the 2025 Southern Yemen offensive. The PLC hasn't given a military response yet, probably because they might have not the capability right now. And PLC-allied Saudi Arabia did carry out attacks against the STC so this is really confusing. There should be some sort of clarification in the article as STC being an "ally" of PLC would confuse readers. Farmandeh Arkhar (talk) 19:30, 26 December 2025 (UTC)

STC has been officially dissolved
Following the STC Secretary-General speech, it was announced its bodies, agencies, and all its offices abroad have been dissolved. ~2026-17243-6 (talk) 10:05, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
Already done 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 10:22, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- I find it a bit odd that the end of the STC is 'disputed' even though it was announced by one of its high-ranking officials that it had been dissolved. Theeverywhereperson talk here 08:12, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- The dissolution was announced by Vice Presidents of the STC, Abdulrahman Al-Muharrami and Ahmed Saeed Bin Breik, but it was not recognized by a mere UAE-based spokesperson. "Disputed" was added by @Chaotic Enby 𐩣𐩫𐩧𐩨 Abo Yemen (𓃵) 08:40, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks! I really think a random spokesperson wouldn't be appropriate to not recognize an official statement by the vice president of the STC that is was being dissolved. I'll inquire with @Chaotic Enby about this. Theeverywhereperson talk here 12:14, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- My bad, I understood it as being the official spokesman contesting it, but I'm okay with it being removed. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 12:30, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
