Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented.

I’m the Managing Partner of Space Capital and I would like to request several changes to our page.

Lead paragraph:

Revise the first sentence and replace the references to:

• Space Capital is an American venture capital firm based in New York City that invests in space technology companies.^[1][2] The firm has backed more than 40 startups, including SpaceX, Planet Labs, Rocket Lab, Impulse Space, Astrobotic Technology, ICEYE, and Muon Space.^[3]

Revise the second sentence and replace the references to:

• Space Capital is the parent brand of Space Angels, an online investment platform, and Space Talent, a career platform and central node for jobs in the space economy.^[4][5][6][7]

 Not done not convinced that a long list of companies backed makes sense as the second sentence of the lead, otherwise this seems functionally identical to the existing. Rusalkii (talk) 05:40, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

History section:

We are proposing a new section after History called Publications. Move current paragraphs #2 and #3 from History under the new section Publications (placed last on the page). That concludes the content for the new Publications section.

For the History section, please insert the following paragraphs and references prior to the current opening paragraph:

• Originally founded in 2007 as an angel investor network, the firm’s scale was limited by its informal structure.^[8]
• In 2012, Chad Anderson became CEO and by 2015 transitioned Space Angels away from the decentralized investing model typical of angel networks, which Anderson claimed was “inefficient at best, dysfunctional at worst.”^[8] In 2015, Anderson re-founded the company and launched its first special purpose vehicle (SPV) fund.^[8][9][10]

After inserting the above paragraphs, the current opening paragraph should now be the third paragraph in the section. Update the text and references to:

• In 2017, Space Capital^[8][11] launched its first institutional venture capital fund of $16 million, with Tom Ingersoll joining as partner.^[12] The firm has since grown to three funds and over $100 million under management.^[13][14][15] Their investments are focused on space-based technologies such as GPS, geospatial intelligence, and satellite communications.^[16]

Remove the Satellite Today reference from the last paragraph in the section that begins “On May 5, 2020…”

Hi there! In one of these edits, you added a footnote named ":12", but no citation exists with that name. Mabe you meant ":1", but I guess there could be some other problem. Can you clarify your intent, or maybe make a fix directly? -- mikeblas (talk) 17:14, 8 October 2024 (UTC)

Source — assets under management: Space Capital is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser (CRD No. 287867, SEC No. 801-134626). Its Form ADV, filed March 23, 2026, reports regulatory assets under management of $1,168,225,834 (Item 5.F).^[1] Nasdaq similarly describes the firm as "a venture capital firm with $1 billion assets under management."^[2]

Source — fund count: The firm's fourth fund, Space Capital IV L.P., is registered with the SEC as a venture capital fund (Form D, filed February 2026).^[3]

Thanks for implementing this, @STEMinfo. On the dead link: the Form D citation should point to the EDGAR filing index page rather than the raw XML: https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/2097734/000209773426000001/0002097734-26-000001-index.htm — the SEC filing detail for Form D, Space Capital IV L.P. If you want to post information about company or employee-related books or reports, you need an independent source showing that the book or report is notable enough to include. For books, that means a review in an independent source. For reports, any independent media coverage of the report is sufficient. Research papers are required to have high citation counts, to demonstrate notability. This prevents the encyclopedia from being filled up with self-published books or reports. For this reason, I also removed the info about your company's GPS report. I'll leave this open so you can find an independent source. If not, it will be declined. 1. The book (Publications section). Independent review:

Suggested sentence:
