– No noticeable WP:PRIMARYTOPIC per pageviews. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 22:52, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support Well, this is a timely one. Even putting aside the possibility of WP:RECENTISM, I see absolutely no argument that the village is the enduring primary topic here. Easy call to disambiguate at the plain article name. DiscoursesonLivvy (talk · contribs) 07:48, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- Weak support the English one has 32,793 views but the Canadian one has 15,360 and the surname has 7,614. Google mainly returns Eric but he is a PTM. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:50, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support per nomination, DiscoursesonLivvy and Crouch, Swale. There are four entries (with additional two under "See also") listed upon the Swalwell (disambiguation) page, with no indication that the village (population 3,200) holds such historical prominence as to overshadow the combined notability of the remaining entries, including currently-in-the-news political figure, one of three listed under Swalwell (surname). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 00:16, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Like, ignoring recency bias / WP:RECENTISM, there's still no clear primary topic for this name. The safest bet is to have the disambiguation page at the basename. Paintspot Infez (talk) 00:07, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose. Not that big, but considerably larger and more notable than the tiny Canadian hamlet and more notable than the obscure surname. I see absolutely no reason why WP:RECENTISM should be any sort of factor here. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:19, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
- Not sure if this news would have any significance across the Atlantic, but see Eric Swalwell for details. DiscoursesonLivvy (talk · contribs) 10:39, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
