COI edit request

Conflict-of-interest disclosure: I am Freddie Palmgren, founder and CEO of Söner Watches. I have a conflict of interest regarding this article and am not editing it directly. I'm requesting the following corrections for review by uninvolved editors.

1. Correct the New York Times citation. The reference currently gives the title as "Watches Go Angular: The Rise of Rectangular Design," which is incorrect. The actual article is:

Hawgood, Alex. "His Watch World Has Right Angles." The New York Times,
 12 February 2025.

Please update the reference title (and author) to match.

2. Add the German Design Award. Söner received a German Design Award 2026 (Winner, Excellent Product Design, Luxury Goods category). Suggested wording: "In 2026, Söner received a German Design Award in the Excellent Product Design category." Source:

"The Art of Angular Elegance – A Rectangular Revolution." German Design Award,
 German Design Council, 2026.
 https://www.german-design-award.com/en/gallery/detail/luxury-goods/the-art-of-angular-elegance-a-rectangular-revolution

3. Remove the press-release citation. The reference sourced to ABNewswire / FinancialContent is a paid press release and is not an independent, reliable source. Please remove it. Where it is the only citation supporting a statement, that statement should be re-sourced or removed.

4. Remove the unsupported traffic claim. The sentence describing Söner as the "fastest-growing Swedish watch brand" with a "66% increase" in organic traffic is not supported by the cited Dagens Industri source. Please remove the sentence.

✅  Edit request partially implemented

  1. Green tickY The New York Times article was updated with an archived version, for accessibility.
  2. Green tickY The ABNewswire source and all claims connected to it were deleted.
  3. Green tickY The sentence mentioning the 66% increase was deleted.
  4. Red XN The award was not added, as the award itself does not appear to be independently notable in Wikipedia.
