Nice Article
Nice Article, lots of good information. As a history major a lot of this I already knew but there were a couple interesting bits of new knowledge that seem legitimate. I'd like there to be more sourcing though —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.82.227.246 (talk) 17:08, August 28, 2007 (UTC)

The picture shown in the article is not a depiction of an Imam but the depiction of Prophet Muhammad:
Pictures of the prophet are quite common in Iran and other Shia communities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.83.141.39 (talk) 06:52, 19 December 2007
Qom school section should be expanded
Under the header "Rising to Power" there's a subheader "Qom school, Iranian revolution and Islamic republic." This subsection only contains three sentences, none of which actually address what the Qom school is. Instead, they give a tiny, brief overview of the revolution which doesn't actually address its theological dimension. It also includes a link to the article on the city of Qom, but this article doesn't actually explain "the Qom school" in any meaningful way - it just includes one line, without a citation, about Qom as a theological center. This subsection needs to either be expanded upon or removed; as it is, it reads as a nonsequitur and doesn't provide the reader with anything useful in relation to the rest of the article. ~2026-13752-99 (talk) 19:40, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
On the Image
Salam! About the image depicting the Holy Prophet (SAW) and the Imams (AS), and as a Shia Twelver Muslim myself, I believe the image is disrespectful by showing the faces of the Imams (AS), just for the same reason Prophet Muhammad (SAW)'s face is obscured. I, however, unfortunately do not have a good image to replace it, but I feel it's better to show nothing than be disrespectful. If anybody, does, then that would be nice if it was replaced, but otherwise I feel it should be removed. HalcyonBerryX (talk) 01:55, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
