  • Pour into a greased square pan.

Alleged creator

A search for the sourceless "Beatrice Fe O'Hearn" (including some variations on the name) who the article claimed invented the cake with an extremely weaselly "Some have said..." found no results that did not appear to originate from this page via wiki-scrapers etc., so I've removed it. (By the way, the cake is delicious.) --Arvedui (talk) 07:54, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Please add picture of actual cake

Can someone add a picture of an actual wacky cake? The only picture currently here is the dry ingredients and I think we should switch the primary image to an image of the actual cake (keeping the ingredients image though). 209.237.105.195 (talk) 15:19, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

Merge with depression cake

Wacky cake is a synonym for Depression cake. These pages pretend they're different, but I've made them and they're the same. That article may be more notable because it's a part of the great depression's history. At most, wacky cake should be a subheader under depression cake.
