Hi. I had not read the previous page move discussions at the time of my initial comment, and so was not aware of the existence of Yehud (Babylonian province) as an already established article name for the preceding period. I don't have a problem with changing both to Judah (Babylonian province) and Judah (Persian province) either. But thought it would be a good interim step at least to move this one in line with the already existing one. Tiamut (talk) 14:41, 17 January 2026 (UTC)

Support - Yehud Medinata (Persian province). Removing "medinata" makes the page title less specific to what it is about. And I see the word "medinata" all over the page and in the references. Guz13 (talk) 23:10, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

Can you show me which references use "Yehud Medinata"? Because I don't see it used in the quoted passages. Only "Yehud" and "Judah". It would be weird for a source to do that too since Medinata is a plural. It would be like writing "Alberta provinces". Just incorrect frankly.

Also please explain why we should ignore ignore Wikipedia naming conventions and favor a rarely used foreign language name instead of the most common English name. Tiamut (talk) 05:28, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

Support Yehud is the commonname, and (Persian province) fits with Yehud (Babylonian province). Onceinawhile (talk) 14:22, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

• Support. Not sure why this was moved back in 2023 away from Yehud (Achaemenid province) but it's just "Yehud" in literature. "Persian" is probably clearer than Achaemenid so the proposed title is better. SnowFire (talk) 08:14, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
