Upon announcement, Cassar-Daley said "A lot of the album points to growing up and coming of age. It's a bit of that project for me – I have written it over some pretty formative years of my life. It's all about new experiences, getting older and navigating through life."[4] The album gets its name from a moment when Cassar-Daley, then 21 years old, jumped in the pool and realised her new tattoo would not come off, unlike temporary tattoos she put on her skin as a child.[5]
Cassar-Daley will support the album with an Australian tour in September 2026,[6] including dates in Adelaide and Brisbane.[7]
