Taylor Ward (born March 31, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who is currently a member of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL).[1]
Ward was never drafted but signed with the Kings as a free agent in 2022, following a four-year stint with the Omaha Mavericks.[2] Taylor's father Dixon also played in the NHL, including 34 games with the Kings.[3]
Ward made his NHL debut with the Kings on April 17, 2025, against the Calgary Flames where he scored his first NHL goal in the 3rd period.[4] He was returned to the Reign the following day.[5]
On July 2, 2025, Ward was re-signed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Los Angeles Kings for the 2025–26 season.[6] On January 26, 2026, Ward signed a two-year contract extension with the Kings.[7]
Personal life
Ward's father is former National Hockey League winger Dixon Ward.
Ward has Canadian and American citizenship.
