Te Hana is a small town on State Highway 1 near the northern boundary of Auckland. Wellsford is 5 km (3.1 mi) to the south, and Kaiwaka is 15 km (9.3 mi) northeast. Te Hana Creek runs westward on the northern end of the town to the Kaipara Harbour.[6]
