Ted Harvey is an American politician. In 2001, Harvey was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives as a Republican, representing the 43rd House District. Elected in 2006 to the Colorado Senate, he represented Senate District 30, which encompasses Northern Douglas County—Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, and Roxborough Park. He was also one of Colorado's delegates to the 2020 Republican National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, in addition to Republican National Conventions in 2012, 2016, and prior election cycles.[1][2][3]

Harvey was chair of the Committee to Defeat the President, an anti-Biden super PAC.[4] The PAC was previously known as the Committee to Defend the President, one of the largest pro-Trump super PACs in the country, but changed its name after the 2020 election.[5]

Harvey is a native of Colorado Springs, where he attended Air Academy Junior High and High School.[6][7] He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, history, and political science from Colorado State University and received a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs.[7]
