Tengana Festival From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Festival in Ghana by the Tongo people Tengana Festival is an annual festival celebrated by the chiefs and people of Tongo Traditional Area.[1][2] It comprises Balungu, Winkongo and Pwalugu in the Upper East Region of Ghana.[3][4] It is also a festival of the Talensis.[5][6] It is celebrated in January.[7] During the festival, there is traditional music and dancing whiles there is also general merry-making.[8][9] Significance This festival is a thanksgiving festival.[10] References ↑ "Ghana Festivals – Tour Ghana".
