History
The village of Kashiry was founded around 1790. In 1828 it was mentioned as a settlement of Cossack troops, then as a Cossack village. In 1907 a wooden church in honor of the Three Saints was consecrated at Kashirskoye. The building was destroyed by the time of the Kazakh SSR. The residents were able to restore their parish only in 1993. In 1934, Kashyr became a regional center.[5][6]
