Tetramethylphosphonium bromide is an organophosphorus compound with the formula (CH₃)₄PBr. It is a white, water-soluble solid, the salt of the cation tetramethylphosphonium and the bromide anion. It is prepared by treating trimethylphosphine with methyl bromide.
