Tetris Block Party

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tetris Block Party is a casual mobile puzzle game that uses drag and drop blocks developed by Playstudios.[1] Players arrange falling blocks to complete empty matching rows into a grid which then disappears and award players free coins which are used to build and upgrade customized party scenes. Its multiplayer or player-to-player (PvP) allows players to compete in real-time matches against friends or other users worldwide.[2]

History

Tetris Block Party was developed by Playstudios in partnership with Tetris Company to advance mobile Tetris experience. It was released on Android and iOS globally on 23 December 2025 by Playstudios.[3][4] From late 2025 to early 2026, it held tournaments such as the US 2026 tournament held in February.[5]

Gameplay

Players pick blocks (Tetrominoes ) from a tray and place them on a board at their own pace to complete horizontal rows to make them disappear and earn points. Clearing four lines at a time is “Tetris”. Players can control the blocks by rotating pieces to fit into the row and use a “hold” slot to save a particular piece for later use. Earned coins are used to build customized virtual party environments hosting dance floors, DJ turn tables and food trucks. In its multiplayer mode, players can challenge friends or participate in PvP matches and could ‘crash’ (steal) rewards from other players' parties.[6][7][8]
