Clarence Ashley "Tex" Kelly (October 29, 1898 February 4, 1978), also known as Clancy Kelly,[2] was an American football lineman who played five seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Toledo Maroons, Buffalo All-Americans, Rochester Jeffersons,[3] Buffalo Rangers and Orange Tornadoes[1] from 1922 to 1929.

Kelly was born on October 28, 1898, in Duncan, Oklahoma.[4] His high school is unknown and he did not attend college, according to Pro-Football-Reference.com.[a]
