Career
TheBurntPeanut started streaming on Twitch in 2019, mainly focusing on gaming guides and tutorials for games such as Escape from Tarkov, although, he only grew a small audience.[1] Following a long period where he went on a hiatus from streaming and content creation, he returned to streaming and adopted the "TheBurntPeanut" persona, represented by a peanut Snapchat-like filter; this also led him to become more of a comedy gaming streamer.[2][3] During livestreams, TheBurntPeanut is known for saying terms such as "Goop!" when finding loot in video games.[2]
In 2024, TheBurntPeanut gained a significant amount of growth in viewers following his changes and interacting in in-game voice chat in Escape from Tarkov and other games.[4][5] In mid-2025, he expanded his content to more extraction shooter games, such as ARC Raiders.[6] This also led to his live streams featuring large-scale community events and collaborations with other streamers, contributing to a large jump in viewership; he refers to his viewers as "Bungulators."[7]
In November, a community war started in ARC Raiders with TheBurntPeanut and another streamer by the name of HutchMF, leading to other creators such as Ninja and TimTheTatman split on joining sides, with some joining TheBurntPeanut's team "The Bungulators" and others joining HutchMF.[8] The war ended via a Discord call with TheBurntPeanut winning and him stating, "I declare sweeping victory for the Bungulators".[6][9] In September 2025, TheBurntPeanut made a guest appearance on the Around The Bar Podcast which accumulated over 2 million views on YouTube.[10]
At the 2025 Streamer Awards, despite calling himself a "PTuber", he won the "Best VTuber" award, beating out streamers such as Ironmouse and Usada Pekora; he also won the "Best FPS Streamer."[11][12] Also in 2025, he was nominated for "Content Creator of the Year" at The Game Awards 2025, although, he was beat out by another content creator.[13] In January 2026, TheBurntPeanut threaten to quit Arc Raiders due to their apparent cheating problems in-game.[14] In February 2026, after the release of Marathon TheBurntPeanut played it on a live stream and responded to the negativity, saying, "Let them cook"; this stems from the wave of negativity the video game was getting.[15]
In April 2026, ARC Raiders players created a "bounty system" that targets foul players, and at the top of the list was TheBurntPeanut, in which he was eliminated quickly.[16] Also in April 2026, the video game Rust had Twitch drops called "Peanut's Wasteland", which were themed around TheBurntPeanut.[17] In May 2026, TheBurntPeanut was offered 1 million dollars by MrBeast to reveal his face to his viewers; he said no and stated, "The peanut avatar already is my real face."[18][19] Also in May 2026, along with several other creators, TheBurntPeanut partnered with company Volt Factor.[20][21] In August 2026, it was revealed that TheBurntPeanut is one of the many Streamer of the Year nominees for the 2026 Esports Awards.[22]
Controversies
After his growth in 2025, TheBurntPeanut was accused of view-botting his live streams; he responded to the situation, calling those who accused him "losers".[23] In May 2025, TheBurntPeanut got into controversy after claims of him stealing someone else's profile picture.[24] After winning the 2025 Streamer Awards, some people in the VTuber community were angry because Ironmouse didn't win, and she responded, saying, "The hate towards TheBurntPeanut is cringe," to which TheBurntPeanut later responded, saying, "It’s not my community."[25][26] In 2026 he was featured as a cosmetic called a "sprite" in the 2017 video game Fortnite Battle Royale; this received backlash from the Fortnite community, with people bringing up his past use of homophobic slurs on stream.[27][28]
