Critical response

The Evil Lawyer received generally positive reviews from critics, with particular praise directed toward its performances, courtroom drama, and exploration of corruption within Thailand's justice system.

Rachel Aroesti of The Guardian awarded the series three out of five stars and described it as "gripping, twisty and ludicrously hammy". While noting its occasionally exaggerated tone and melodramatic elements, she praised the performances of Rhatha Phongam and Nat Kitcharit, as well as the show's complex storytelling and social commentary on inequality and corruption.[6]

Writing for Decider, Joel Keller recommended the series in his "Stream It Or Skip It" review, praising Rhatha Phongam's portrayal of Jittri and the show's morally complex legal cases. Keller noted that the series effectively combines courtroom drama with a crime-thriller narrative and concluded with a "Stream It" recommendation.[7]

Sarah Musnicky of But Why Tho? gave a positive review, describing the series as an entertaining crime drama that examines corruption and the abuse of power within the justice system. She praised its engaging narrative, social commentary, and morally ambiguous characters, stating that the series offers "food for thought" while remaining compelling entertainment.[8]
