The Lace is the debut and sole solo studio album by American pop rock singer Benjamin Orr, best known for his work with American new wave band the Cars. It was released on October 6, 1986, by Elektra Records and features his only solo hit, the song "Stay the Night", which reached No. 24 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1987. The follow-up single "Too Hot to Stop" failed to chart. Wounded Bird Records re-released the album on CD on August 15, 2006.
