The series is starring Robson Green, Liz White and Gurjeet Singh. Green described his character as an ex-con who is "seeking redemption" and someone that has "always been lured into temptation despite having a good heart and wanting to do the right thing", and likened the character to Robby Box played by Ray Brooks in 1980s television series Big Deal.[3] The cast also includes Simon Callow, Craig Pearson, Chris Gascoyne and Alex Croft.[4]
Production was underway by April 2026.[1] Filming locations in Northumbria included Dunstanburgh Castle as well as in Alnwick, Amble, Seahouses, Morpeth and Rothbury.[5][6][7]
