Background

Unlike other early Kanye mixtapes, The Prerequisite contains mostly original West songs as Kanye performs in each track of the mixtape. The most notable tracks on the mixtape are "Jesus Walks" and "Dream Come True" (later renamed to "All Falls Down"), both of which ended up releasing on West's debut studio album The College Dropout; "Hey Mama", which ended up releasing on West's second studio album, Late Registration; and "Home" which ended up getting entirely reworked and released on West's third studio album, Graduation, as well as "Homecoming". The mixtape surfaced online on April 20, 2013.[3][4]
