Work

Known for his large installations,[3] Fruin most commonly uses steel and highly colored plexiglass[4] to create monumental sculptures alluding to local buildings.[5] He has said he aims to make art that is publicly accessible[6] and sustainable[7] by working with reclaimed materials[8] and alternative energy.[9] Fruin's largest installation to date, the Watertower series, is installed on rooftops across New York City and around the country.[10] Other large works have been exhibited in public plazas in Prague,[11] Vienna,[12] Copenhagen[13] and throughout the United States.
