Raved was born in Tel Aviv to Ayelet and Yoram Raved, a senior lawyer and partner at Shibolet & Co. From 1997 to 2003, while studying at Alliance High School, he played water polo for ASA Tel Aviv. In 2003, he enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces and served as a commander and combat soldier in the Counter-Terrorism Unit.[2]
In 2007, he began studying law and economics at Tel Aviv University, graduating in 2011. After completing his studies, he joined Fischer Behar Chen law firm (FBC & co) as an attorney in the mergers and acquisitions department. In 2012, he moved to New York and earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in finance and accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University. During his studies, he led public relations and foreign affairs activities for Jewish organizations on campus and served as a teaching assistant for professors such as Aswath Damodaran.
In 2013, Raved joined UBS Investment Bank in New York, where he worked on mergers, acquisitions, and public offerings. His first major deal involved raising $500 million for Snapchat. During this period, he led boards and executive teams through major telecom and technology transactions, including Charter Communications’ acquisition of Time Warner Cable and Dell’s acquisition of EMC.[3]
In 2016, he joined Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) as Vice President and was promoted to Senior Director, leading the bank’s Internet and Technology sector, completing large transactions in telecommunications and internet industries in the U.S. and Europe. He led Disney’s $85 billion acquisition of Fox and advised investment funds such as KKR, Cinven, Apollo, and Bain. He also led mergers such as Perion/Conduit, Comcast/Sky, Telaria/Rubicon, and Taptica/Tremor Video. Raved served in this role at RBC until early 2020.[4][5]
In 2020, after leading the acquisition of controlling interest in Bezeq for Searchlight Capital and the Forer family, he returned to Israel and was appointed CEO of B Communications, the controlling shareholder of Bezeq.[6] Between 2020 and 2023, he also served as a director at Bezeq, Walla!, YES, Pelephone, Bezeq International, and Bezeq Online. In January 2024, the Bezeq Board of Directors appointed him as Chairman of the Group.[7]
