Trachyserica

Genus of beetles From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trachyserica is a genus of beetle of the family Scarabaeidae.[1] It is monotypic, being represented by the single species, Trachyserica longitarsa, which is found in Madagascar.[2]

Description

Adults reach a length of about 5 mm. They have a narrow, shiny, dark brown body, with a somewhat metallic sheen. There are scattered setae on the elytra and more densely packed setae at the tarsal joints.[3]
