"Trattengo il fiato" (transl. I'm holding my breath) is a song recorded by Italian singer Emma. It was released on 24 January 2014 through Universal Music Italy as the fourth single from her third studio album Schiena.[1]
Written and composed by Daniele Magro and produced by Brando, this is Magro's second single for Emma and captures the singer's passionate and sentimental side, similar to "Sarò libera", characterized by a slow, calm melody unlike her previous singles from Schiena. After a period of pop-rock songs, Emma has once again embraced pop sounds, returning to the genre that became popular at the beginning of her repertoire with a melodic ballad.[1]
Promotion
The single was performed live for the first time on the television show C'è posta per te where Emma was a guest.[2]
Music video
The video premiered on the Corriere della Sera website on 10 February 2014,[3] and was published on the singer's official Vevo channel on 12 February 2014.[4]
Directed by Marco Salom and filmed at the Teatro Sanzio in Urbino,[3] it begins with a scene in which the singer is at center stage of the famous theater, surrounded by a string orchestra.[5] The video then continues with the same scene accompanied by the song. The video features approximately 300 of the singer's fans.[3]
